Riyadh is rewriting the skyline brief
Vision 2030 has changed what clients ask for in Riyadh. Here is what we are seeing on the drawing board.

Five years ago most Riyadh briefs asked for size. Today they ask for identity: buildings that feel Saudi without copying the past.
We see more mixed-use projects, more public ground floors and a strong push towards walkable districts like KAFD and Diriyah. Clients want shade, water and places to sit outside in the evening.
Materials are changing too. Local stone, rammed earth and timber screens are replacing imported glass curtain walls on many of our projects.
For architects, the opportunity is to design buildings that are climate-smart and culturally rooted at the same time. That is the brief we enjoy most.
